The Superior rooms are located in an area which has been entirely built on the sediments of a late-nineteenth century factory, where fish was stored and processed.
These rooms overlook Vicolo della Sfera, where a part of the strong walls built during the Spanish domination may be seen. In the following centuries, Charles V’s walls were exploited to build prestigious palaces, as the adjacent Palazzo Biscari or humble dwellings in the historic centre.
